WCF, NITI Aayog Partner to provide training to Country’s Children and Youth on Cybersafety

WNS partners Niti Aayog to extend education on cybersecurityWCF (WNS Cares Foundation), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing of Private firm WNS Global Services has partnered with Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL), an initiative under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog for providing training to India’s children and youth on cybersafety. WCF will provide digital education through its platform CyberSmart.

Key Points:

i.ATL will use CyberSmart platform and digital programs of WCF in its network of around 6, 500 schools to educate students on cybersecurity and other relevant areas.

ii.Volunteers from WCF have started to conduct capacity building workshops for ATL’s Regional Teachers of Change (RTOC) for the implementation of the objective.

iii.The volunteers will support ATL to deliver the modules effectively.

iv.The platform will be used with a combination of online and offline methodologies and is expected to impact thousands of children significantly.

CyberSmart Platform:

i.CyberSmart Platform is India’s 1st Holistic cybersecurity education portal. It inculcates learning through gaming, thematic quiz-based module based on curriculum advisory.

ii.In May 2020, Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the platform and provides cyber education to around 164, 000 learners which includes teachers, parents and students.
