Veteran Sports Journalist K Baskaran died at the age of 80 on March 11, 2015, after a prolonged illness in Mumbai.
Baskaran will be remembered as one of the top sports journalists of the country.
He has worked with the Free Press Journal
- Indian Express, Newsday (defunct)
- The Times of India.
Most part of his career spent at The Times of India where he worked for some 25 years – before being superannuated.
Shri K Baskaran has reported on various sports. He has widely reported in Indian football for four decades. He was also admired for his coverage in basketball.
He also authored a book ” Wills Book Of Football”.
