Success Story by Yogit Kumar

Hi friends! One of our readers Yogit has shared his success story with us. He has also been a part of AC team. You can learn from his experience and keep hard working and hoping for the best.

Hi I am Yogit Kumar from Jaipur Rajasthan. I completed my engineering in electronics and communication stream in 2015. During my 7th semester I got placed in Infosys but the package was not good so I decided that I will prepare for government jobs.
I started my preparation in June 2015 and my first exam was SBI PO in which I didn’t qualify pre-exam (got only 42).
By this time I make my mind that I will prepare only for bank examinations and started preparing for IBPS PO.

For maths I follow three books – RS agarwal, M tyra (Practice book) and SSC maths by kiran publication.
For Reasoning I follow RS agarwal
For English I follow SP bakshi
For computer I read two books – Lucent and computer by kiran publications
For GK, I followed affairscloud.

Apart from these books I followed affairscloud regularly and before exam I revise all the quizzes of computer and GK which helped me lot in the examination. The MODs are very helpful and always try to make full use of them by asking doubts.
I studied for approx. 8 to 10 hours daily for 5 months (June to October) and believe me if I can crack it in the first attempt u can also do.
My next exam after SBI PO was RRB PO in which I got 110.75 in written and 55 in interview and a total of 55.26 and I didn’t make to the final list.
Then in RRB assistant I got 155 in written but I didn’t give the interview due to some health problem.
Then I give IBPS PO in which I got 59 in pre-exam and 109.75 in mains exam and in interview which was the worst experience for me I got only 47 and a total score of 53.30 and finally got selected as PO in PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK under OBC category.
In PO mains I got 109.75 (R – 24.75, E – 16.50, C – 19, GA – 25.25, M – 24.25)
At last I want to say that always try to score as much as possible in written examination so that if interview didn’t go well u can still make to the final list as you can see in my case.
And yes I want to thanks Sheerin, Shubhra, Dhriti, Sendhill and all affairscloud team for their valuable quizzes, mocks and guidance.
Thank you
Yogit
