Forbes India’s “20 people to watch in 2020” list: 7 Indians featured; Indian origin Hassan Minhaj from US tops 

On January 7, 2020, According to the Forbes India’s prestigious list of ‘20 people to watch in the 2020s’, 7 Persons from India featured in the list. Two persons from Bihar namely Prashant Kishor-12th place (Poll strategist and JD(U) national vice-president ) & Kanhaiya Kumar16th (former JNU Students’ Union president) were the biggest name in the list.
Other Indians in the list include, Aditya Mittal2nd place (Group CFO and CEO, ArcelorMittal Europe), the Godrej family-6th (of Adi Godrej), Dushyant Chautala -7th (deputy chief minister,Haryana) , Mahua Moitra -9th (Lok Sabha member, Trinamool Congress), and Garima Arora -14th (Chef, the first Indian woman to receive a Michelin star).

Key Points:
i.An US (United States) based Indian origin -Hasan Minhaj, comedian & political commentator, is on the 1st  position in the list, while Keyna’s Marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge in on the 20th place.
ii.Kanhaiya can build his strong identity in the future in Indian politics. He became the face of student politics at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) when he strongly responded to the sedition charges in 2016.
iii.Prashant has been a political strategist since 2011. Kishor, who helped the BJP(Bharatiya Janata Party) win the Gujarat elections, is now working as a patron of an organization- IPAC (Indian Political Action Committee).
iv.The list also features Gotabaya Rajapaksa-4th  (President of Sri Lanka), Mohammed bin Salman-5th  (Crown Prince, Saudi Arabia), Jacinda Ardern -13th (New Zealand PM), Boris Johnson (PM, the UK), Sanna Marin -17th (Finland PM), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -8th (member of US House of Representatives for New York) and Greta Thunberg -15th (famous environmental activist, Sweden).
