Note:
Previously, IREDA had signed MoUs with Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited; NHPC Ltd; Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation. Limited (TANGEDCO); and North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) to offer consultancy services for developers of RE and Energy transition.
Features of MoU:
i.Under this MoU, IREDA will undertake techno-financial due diligence of the renewable energy and energy efficiency and conservation projects for THDCIL.
ii.The IREDA will also support THDCIL to develop action plans to create and acquire renewable energy projects for the next 5 years.
iii.Under this MoU, IREDA will also provide the techno-financial expertise to THDCIL for Environmental & Social (E&S) due diligence of RE projects according to the internationally accepted standards.
iv.This MoU will enable THDCIL to increase their footprint in RE space. THDCIL has a portfolio of Solar & Wind energy projects apart from Hydro and Thermal.
IREDA and BCFCL signed MoU for Green Energy
The IREDA has also signed a MoU with Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers to provide techno-financial expertise to develop RE energy projects and fundraising.
- The MoU was signed by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director(CMD), IREDA and Dr Siba Prasad Mohanty, CMD of BVFCL.
- This MoU will contribute to achieve the Government’s target of reducing its carbon emission to 45% by 2030.
