- The last night time testfire of Prithvi-II was conducted successfully from the ITR on November 20, 2019.
About Prithvi-II:
It was the first missile to have been developed by DRDO under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) and was already inducted into the armoury of the defence forces in 2003.
- It is capable of carrying 500 to 1,000 kg of warheads and is powered by liquid propulsion twin engines.
- It has a `strike range of 350 Km.
- It uses an advanced inertial guidance system with maneuvering trajectory to hit its target.
