To research on topics like 5G, artificial intelligence, water conservation, malnutrition, use science and technology for betterment of farmers and manufacture of low cost and durable batteries for renewable energy storage.

It consists of 4600 scientists, 38 laboratories and about 8000 scientific and technical personnel across the country. On a yearly average it files about 200 Indian patents and 250 foreign patents.
