Indian Football Player Baichung Bhutia has conferred with Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Hall of Fame Award. He is the first Indian Football Player to receive this award.
The AFC organized the award ceremony for the first time to celebrate its 60th anniversary. Apart from Baichung, nine other legendary Players from Asia were also honoured.
Totally Baichung has played 107 matches for India and he scored 42 goals.
Bhutia’s Previous Awards
• Arjuna Award for football in 1998
• Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India, in 2008
• Banga Bhushan award in 2014
