Yingluck Shinawatra banned from Thai politics

In a secret vote, Thailand’s military-stacked parliament has impeached former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra from politics and proceeded with criminal charges that could lead to her serving 10 years in jail. She was impeached for her corruption in a scheme she oversaw to subsidize rice farmers.
