Thailand Prime Minister Chan-o-cha made visit to India and arrived in New Delhi starting from 16th June to enhance bilateral cooperation between two nations

Key aspects of the visit:

  • Thai and India Prime Minister had discussed to expand maritime security cooperation, dealt about challenges in terrorism and development trade between two nations
  • Both Prime Ministers conversed about the condition in the South China Sea

India and Thailand signed key pacts in the field of culture and education

India and Thailand agreed to sign the two agreements on Cultural Exchange and Academic Cooperation

Features of Agreement:

The academic collaboration agreement was signed between Chiang Mai University and Nagaland University

Axis Bank of India and Kasikorn Bank of Thailand inked pact for trade and investment

Mumbai Based Axis Bank signed agreement with Thailand Kasikorn Bank to explore the cooperation in the areas of Trade and Investment

  • The Memorandum of Understanding will support the existing bond between two banks
