PM Visit to Haryana

During the visit to Haryana PM dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 9750 crores in Rewari, Haryana. The projects include sectors concerning urban transport, health, rail, and tourism. These are

i.Gurugram Metro Rail in Rewari, Haryana for Rs 5450 crores

ii.Foundation Stone of AIIMS Rewari in Haryana to be built for Rs 1650 crores

iii.Virtual inauguration of Mahabharata theme-based Jyotisar Anubhav Kendra, museum in Kurukshetra for Rs 240 Crores.

iv.Foundation stone and dedicated to the nation multiple railway projects.

Gurugram Metro Rail in Rewari, Haryana

i.PM inaugurated the Gurugram Metro Rail project with a total length of 28.5 km estimated at Rs 5450 crores.

ii.It will connect Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5, with a spur at Dwarka Expressway. It will converge with the existing metro network of Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram at Moulsari Avenue station near Cyber City.

Foundation Stone of AIIMS Rewari in Haryana

i.PM laid the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rewari, Haryana spanning across 203 acres of land in village Majra Mustil Bhalkhi at a cost of approximately RS 1650 crores, established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).

ii.It will also feature an ICU(intensive care unit), emergency & trauma units, modular operation theatres, diagnostic labs, and a blood bank.

Note: Rewari AIIMS is the 22nd AIIMS.

PMSSY scheme

  • Launched in2003
  • Ministry– Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
  • Aim – Correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable tertiary healthcare services and also to augment facilities for quality medical education in the country.
  • Components   

 i. Setting up of AIIMS like institutions.                                                                           ii. Upgradation of government medical colleges in various states.

Mahabharata theme-based Jyotisar Anubhav Kendra, museum

PM virtually inaugurated a new experiential museum named Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar, Kurukshetra spanning 17 acres at a cost of around Rs 240 crores with 100,000 square feet of indoor space.

  • It brings the Mahabharata and Gita teachings to life, using Augmented Reality (AR), 3D laser, and projection mapping

Note: Jyotisar, Kurukshetra is the sacred site where Lord Krishna imparted the eternal wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna.

Foundation Stone of Multiple Railway Projects

i.PM laid the foundation stone for multiple railway projects including the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line (68 km) which will reduce the travel time between Rohtak and Hisar.

ii.The other railway projects include doubling of railway lines to enhance rail infrastructure and to help both passenger and freight trains to run on time which are as follows:

  • Rewari-Kathuwas rail line
  • Bhiwani-Dobh Bhali rail line
  • Manheru-Bawani Khera rail line

PM Visit to Rajasthan

PM visited Rajasthan to attend the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Rajasthan’ Programme and during the event, he unveiled and laid the foundation stone of Multiple development projects worth over Rs 17000 crore via video conferencing. The projects include

  • Highway infrastructure Projects
  • Railway development Projects
  • Power transmission sector projects
  • Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajasthan

Highway Infrastructure

PM initiated various National Highway projects worth more than Rs 5000 crore in Rajasthan which include

i.Three packages of 8-lane Delhi- Mumbai Greenfield Alignment (NE-4).

ii.A 6-lane Greenfield -Udaipur Bypass (connecting the Chittorgarh-Udaipur Highway section of NH-48 at Debari with the Udaipur-Shamlaji Section of NH-48 at Kaya village) was inaugurated to decongest Udaipur city.

iii.Also, animal underpass and overpass with camouflaging have been built to facilitate the movement of wildlife along with noise barriers to minimize the impact on wildlife.

iv.The other projects include the improvement of road infrastructure in Jhunjhunu, Abu Road, and Tonk districts of Rajasthan.

Railway development projects

PM laid the foundation stone for eight projects worth approximately Rs 2,300 crore. These include the electrification of rail routes such as

  • Jodhpur-Rai Ka Bagh-Merta Road-Bikaner section
  • Jodhpur-Phalodi section
  • Bikaner-Ratangarh-Sadulpur-Rewari section

Other key projects

i.Khatirpura railway station will be developed as a satellite station for Jaipur equipped with Terminal facility (Where trains can originate and terminate).

ii.Maintenance of all types of rakes like Vande Bharat, LHB, etc will be carried out at Khatipura, Jaipur

iii. The foundation stone for the maintenance facility of Vande Bharat sleeper trains at Bhagat Ki Kothi

iv.Construction of coach care complex for maintenance of trains at Hanumangarh.

v.Doubling of Bandikui to Agra Fort rail line.

Power transmission sector projects

PM laid the foundation stone of solar projects worth around Rs 5300 crore in Rajasthan with the latest state-of-the-art technology with high-efficiency bifacial modules manufactured in India. The projects are awarded under MNRE’s CPSU scheme (Ministry of New & Renewable Energy’s, Central Public Sector Undertaking scheme). These include

i.300 MW solar Power Project of NLC India Ltd in Barsingsar, Rajasthan, at an estimated cost of Rs. 1756 crore

  • It has been Awarded to M/s TATA Solar Power Systems Ltd on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis with a life span of 25 years.

ii.300 MW Karnisar-Bhatiyan Solar Power Plant Project of NHPC LTD (erstwhile National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) Phase-II (Tranche -III) in Bikaner, Rajasthan at an estimated cost of Rs 1732 crores.

iii.The 300 MW NTPC (formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation) Green Energy Limited (NGEL) Nokhra Solar PV(Photovoltaics) Project in Bikaner of Rs. 1,803 crores.

iv.PM also dedicated to power transmission sector projects worth more than Rs 2100 crore in Rajasthan to evacuate power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan

  • (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part A
  • (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-B1

And Transmission System for providing connectivity to RE (Renewable Energy) projects at Bikaner (PG), Fatehgarh-II & Bhadla–II.

Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajasthan

The PM laid the foundation stone of multiple projects worth around Rs 2400 crores including projects under Jal Jeevan Mission, which aimed at strengthening the infrastructure to provide clean drinking water in Rajasthan.
