Launch of Cyber Tehsil Project in Madhya Pradesh
PM launched the Cyber Tehsil Project in Madhya Pradesh (MP) to improve the delivery of government services.
i.The project aims to provide an online platform for the easy and complete mutation of sale-purchase, khasra records, and revenue record correction. The platform will be paperless, faceless, and end-to-end.
ii.The project will utilize email and WhatsApp to communicate a certified copy of the final order to the applicant to simplify the process
iii.It will be implemented across all 55 districts of the MP
Note: The Khasra record consists of a plot-wise description of ownership area, classification, share of ownership and the status of there of. It identifies which piece of land is owned by whom.
Vikramaditya Vedic Clock in Ujjain
PM Modi virtually inaugurated the world’s first ‘Vikramaditya Vedic clock’ at Jantar-Mantar in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh which aims to reintroduce the ancient Indian system of timekeeping to the modern world.
Key Points
i.The clock was developed by the Maharaja Vikramaditya Research Institute in Ujjain with the help of Lucknow-based engineer Aroh Srivastav’s software unit.
- It will feature a huge LED screen on an 85-ft high tower located on the campus of the 300-year-old Jiwaji Observatory
ii.It will display Indian Standard Time (IST), Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), and Vedic time simultaneously, and provide a view of celestial ballet, including the movements of planets and stars, solar and lunar eclipses, and the precise positioning of celestial bodies.
iii.It will be synchronized with the Sun’s position, as calculated by ancient Vedic scholars.
iv.It will be operated through the Vikram Samvat App, which will provide information from the ‘Vikram Panchang’ such as sunrise and sunset timings, planetary positions, and auspicious timings.
v.Additionally, It will be based on the principles of Vedic time calculation and will display time in 30 ‘Muhurats’, which is a unit of time in the Vedic system that divides the day into 30 equal parts.

Note: On 1st October 2021, Hon’ble Prime Minister launched AMRUT 2.0, which aims to provide central assistance for universal coverage of water supply in all statutory towns, upscale sewerage and septage management in 500 AMRUT cities, rejuvenate water bodies (including urban wetland) and create green spaces.
