About Mahendra Singh Dhoni:

i.Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born on 7 July, 1981 in Ranchi, Bihar (now Jharkhand) and Captained the Indian Men’s Cricket Team in all three-formats of the game. 

ii.He has represented India in 90 test matches, 350 One-Day Internationals (ODI) & 98 Twenty20 Internationals(T20I). 

iii.He has played for Bihar, Jharkhand in Ranji Trophy and represented Chennai Super Kings (2008-15), (2018-present) & Rising Pune Supergiant (2016-2017).

iv.He is the only Wicket-keeper cum Captain to score over 6,000 runs and effect 200 dismissals in ODIs.

Captaincy Records:

i.Dhoni has captained India in 332 international matches – 200 ODIs, 60 Tests and 72 T20Is. He was named the captain of Indian squad for the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 held in South Africa in September 2007.

ii.Under his captaincy India won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, Asia Cup (2010 & 2016), ICC Cricket World Cup (2011) & ICC Champions Trophy (2013).

iii.He retired from Test Cricket in 2014, and remained captain of the Indian Team for Limited-overs format from 2008 to 2017. 

iv.Dhoni is the only captain in the history of the game to win three ICC trophies – 2007 World T20, 2011 World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy

v.He also led India to World No.1 Ranking in tests for the first time in December 2009.

Wicket-Keeping:

He is the only cricketer to have inflicted 100 International Stumpings in his career. Dhoni has 123 stumpings to his name from 350 matches. In terms of total dismissals, he is behind South Africa’s Mark Boucher and Australia’s Adam Gilchrist.

Suresh Raina

Suresh Kumar Raina was born on 27 November 1986 in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is the first Indian batsman to hit a century in all three formats of international cricket and is considered as one of the best fielders.

i.He plays for Uttar Pradesh in Domestic Cricket and Gujarat Lions (2016-17) and Chennai Super Kings (2008-2015), (2018-present).

ii.The left-hander has represented India in 18 Test Matches, 226 ODIs & 78 T20I.

iii.He became the youngest Captain for India in the T20I at 23 years.

iv.He was part of the Indian Team which won the 2011 World Cup.
