India wins 13 Medals at World Cadet Wrestling Championships 2021

India has finished the World Cadet Wrestling Championships 2021 with 13 Medals (5 Gold, 1 Silver, 7 Bronze). The World Cadet Wrestling Championships 2021 was held from July 19-25, 2021 at Budapest, Hungary.

  • The Indian Men’s Team were crowned as Freestyle Champions. It is India’s 1st ever team freestyle world title at any level. While the Women’s Wrestling Team clinched the Silver Medal.
  • The Cadet World Championship is an annual event held for Wrestlers aged between the ages of 16-17 years.
  • It is held in 3 categories Greco-Roman (GR), Freestyle (FS) and Women’s wrestling (WW) and is organized by United World Wrestling (UWW).
