The missile is equipped with Lock-on After Launch and Lock-on Before Launch capabilities. The Missile hit the designated static target with high accuracy.
Key Points:
i.SANT Missile is an air-to-surface missile being developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for Indian Air Force (IAF).
ii.The missile is an upgraded version of Helicopter Launched Nag (HeliNa) Missile. It is additionally equipped with an advanced node-mounted seeker.
iii.It has a Striking range of 15-20 Kms.
iv.It is a variant of NAG Missile, which is an Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ARGM).
v.SANT was first successfully tested in November, 2018 at Pokhran, Rajasthan.
