ICC women’s T20I Rankings 2020: Shafali verma creates history by becoming world’s No.1 batsman at the age of 16

On March 4, 2020, According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I (Twenty-twenty International) rankings 2020 for Women players, the 16-year-old Indian opener Shafali Verma climbed 19 places to reach the top with 761 points. She replaced New Zealand’s Suzie Bates down a notch,who now have 750 points.Key Points:

i.Among the top-10 batsmen, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodriques lost 2 places & reached 6th  and 9th position respectively.

ii.Shefali has scored 161 runs in 4 matches of the current T20 World Cup.She is the second Indian batsman after former captain Mithali Raj to top the ICC T20 women’s T20I batting list.

iii.Among bowlers, England’s Sophie Ecclestone reached first place.
