Virat Kohli:
i.Virat Kohli has been recognized for his splendid performance in 2023 including ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC).
ii.He scored 1377 runs and took a wicket in 27 ODI matches in 2023.
iii.He was awarded the Player of the Tournament at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 held in India. He was the highest run scorer (765 runs) in the tournament, which is the most runs scored ever in a single edition of an ODI World Cup.
iv.In 2023, he also made the record for scoring most number of century in ODI format with 50 centuries.
Suryakumar Yadav:
i.Suryakumar Yadav won the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award for the second consecutive year after he got it in 2022.
ii.He scored 733 runs in 17 T20I matches at an average score of 48.86 with a Strike Rate of 155.95.
iii. In January 2023, He scored a century from 45 balls in a T20I match against Sri Lanka.
- It made him the second-fastest century-scored batsman for India in men’s T20Is behind Rohit Sharma(Scored a century in 35 balls against Sri Lanka in 2017).

ICC team of the year 2023:
i.ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year 2023 features 11 players who made splendid performances in 2023. Australia’s Pat Cummins leads the Test Team of the Year. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are the two Indian players featured in the team.
ii.ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year 2023features 6 Indian players out of 11. Rohit Sharma named the captain of the team, other Indian players being Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Shami.
iii. ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year 2023 recognises 11 outstanding individuals who have impressed throughout 2023. It featured four Indian players including Suryakumar Yadav (the captain of the team), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravi Bishnoi, and Arshdeep Singh.
iv.ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year 2023Chamari Athapaththu of Sri Lanka named as the captain for the featured players .
v.ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2023 was captained by Chamari Athapaththu of Sri Lanka. Deepti Sharma was the only Indian featured in the team.
