In a bid to improve tourist infrastructure in heritage places of Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh and Warangal in Telangana, urban development ministry has given its stamp of approval to the projects worth of Rs. 12 crore.
- An inter-Ministerial HRIDAY National Empowered Committee approved development of Heritage Park in Amaravati and 1000 Pillar Temple, Kazipet Durgah and Padmakshi Temple in Warangal.
It will be developed over an area of 3.50 acre at an outlay of Rs.7.36 crore.

About Developments in Warangal
An expenditure of Rs. 4.85 crore has been approved for undertaking development works.
Division of expenditure:
- Development works at 1,000-pillar temple cost at 94 lakh while work at Kazipet Durgah cost Rs. 1.78 crore.
- Investment of 2.13 crore has been made for the rejuvenation of pond at Padmakshi Temple.
About HRIDAY
It has been launched with an objective of improving the social, cultural and economic ecosystems and conserving the rich cultural heritage by revitalization of linked urban infrastructure. The scheme has a total outlay of Rs. 500 crore with a time period till March 2017.
- The scheme will implement in 12 cities namely – Ajmer, Amaravati, Amritsar, Badami, Dwarka, Gaya, Kanchipuram, Mathura, Puri, Varanasi, Velankanni and Warangal.
