1. Thrift  – मितव्ययी

Meaning – using money and other resources carefully and not wastefully.

Synonyms – careful with money, provident, prudent, canny, economical, frugal, energy-efficient, energy-saving, fuel-efficient, fuel-saving, sparing, scrimping, abstemious, parsimonious, penny-pinching, miserly

Usage – “he had been brought up to be thrifty and careful”

2. Veracity  – सच्चाई

Meaning – conformity to facts; accuracy.

Synonyms – truthfulness, truth, accuracy, accurateness, correctness, exactness, precision, preciseness, realism, authenticity, faithfulness, fidelity; reputability, honesty, sincerity, trustworthiness, reliability, dependability, scrupulousness, ethics, morality, righteousness, virtuousness, decency, goodness, probity.

Usage – “officials expressed doubts concerning the veracity of the story”

3. Clumsy –  अनाड़ी

Meaning – awkward in movement or in handling things.

Synonyms – awkward, uncoordinated, ungainly, graceless, ungraceful, inelegant, gawky, gauche, gangling, cloddish, blundering, lumbering; bungling, bumbling, fumbling, inept, maladroit, unskilful, inexpert, unhandy, accident-prone.

Usage – “the cold made his fingers clumsy”

4. Tumult 

Meaning – a loud, confused noise, especially one caused by a large mass of people.

Synonyms – din, loud noise, racket, uproar, commotion, ruckus, rumpus, hubbub, pandemonium, babel, bedlam, brouhaha, fracas, furore, melee, frenzy, ado; shouting, yelling, clamour, clangour; stramash; informalhullabaloo; informalrow; datedaffray.

5. Courtesy  – के सौजन्य से

Meaning – the showing of politeness in one’s attitude and behaviour towards others.

Synonyms – politeness, courteousness, good manners, civility, respect, respectfulness, deference, chivalry, gallantry, good breeding, gentility, graciousness, kindness, consideration, thought, thoughtfulness.

Usage – “he treated the players with courtesy and good humour”

6. Embolden  – प्रोत्साहित करना

Meaning – give (someone) the courage or confidence to do something.

Synonyms – give courage, make brave/braver, encourage, hearten, strengthen, fortify, stiffen the resolve of, lift the morale of; rouse, stir, stimulate, cheer, rally, give confidence, brace; fire, inflame, animate, motivate, invigorate, vitalize; informalbuck up; rareinspirit.

Usage – “emboldened by the claret, he pressed his knee against hers”

7. Tender  – निविदा

Meaning – showing gentleness, kindness, and affection.

Synonyms – caring, kind, kindly, kind-hearted, soft-hearted, tender-hearted, compassionate, sympathetic, warm, warm-hearted, feeling, fatherly, motherly, maternal, gentle, mild, benevolent, generous, giving, humane; susceptible, vulnerable.

Usage – “he was being so kind and tender”

8. Endorse  – समर्थन

Meaning – sign (a cheque or bill of exchange) on the back to make it payable to someone other than the stated payee or to accept responsibility for paying it.

Synonyms – countersign, sign on the back, initial, autograph, put one’s mark on, inscribe, superscribe; witness, validate; archaicunderwrite, side-sign; rarechirographate

Usage – “the cheque should be endorsed and sent to the third party”

9. Obscure  – अस्पष्ट

Meaning – not discovered or known about; uncertain.

Synonyms – unclear, uncertain, unknown, in doubt, doubtful, dubious, mysterious, hazy, vague, indeterminate, concealed, hidden.

Usage – “his origins and parentage are obscure”

10. Treasure  – खजाना

Meaning – a quantity of precious metals, gems, or other valuable objects.

Synonyms – riches, valuables, jewels, gems, gold, silver, precious metals, money, cash; wealth, fortune; treasure trove.

Usage – “the ransom was to be paid in diamonds and treasure”
