- The two-day summit was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to focus and enhance the cooperation to tackle COVID-19 across the world.
- The first day panel was discussed on the theme ‘Demand planning, preparedness and overcoming challenges in vaccine administration’.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan in Final panel:-
i.Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of India and also Chairman of World Health Organization’s Executive Board was also virtually participated in the final day of the panel discussion which focused on vaccine production and distribution across Asia.The co-panelists are Madhav Kurup, Regional CEO MESA, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and Dr. Pascal Rey-Herme, Co-Founder and Group Medical Director, International SOS.
ii.The global panel discussion was moderated by popular news anchor Laura Buckwell.
iii.He also highlighted India’s vaccine administration program and the development of two vaccines in India such as Covishield and Covaxin,also notified on the recent decision to allow all citizens on or above 45 years for vaccination from 1st April 2021.
