- It should be noted that the BrahMos, a prime strike weapon has been jointly designed, developed and produced by BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft, or from land platforms.

About INS Chennai:
Commissioned into the navy in November 2016, the 7,500-tonne INS Chennai is the third ship of the Kolkata-class stealth guided missile destroyers of the Indian Navy constructed at Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) located in Mumbai (Maharashtra).
- This warship can carry 16 BrahMos missiles in two eight-cell vertical launch systems, besides other sophisticated weapons and sensors
