On 12 January 2020 ,The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Annual Awards were presented in 25 different categories for the 2018-19 season in Mumbai, Maharashtra to honor all the legendary cricketers.
i.Indian pacer Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah has received the highest prize of Indian cricket – the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer (2018-19) in men’s category.The award carries a citation, trophy & cheque for Rs. 15 lakh.
ii.At the same time, Poonam Yadav clinched the top prize in women’s category and was awarded the best international cricketer.
iii.Former India captains Krishnamachari Srikkanth and Anjum Chopra were awarded the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award and the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for women respectively.
