From 6th to 13th October 2018, 2018 Asian Para Games was held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

  • This was the third edition of Asian Para Games. It was organized by Indonesia Asian Para Games Organizing Committee (INAPGOC) along with the APC (Asian Paralympic Committee).43 Nations Participated in this event.
  • Logo: This year’s concept was ‘Harmony’. The circle shaped logo represented harmony that is formed by nations throughout Asia, harmoniously shining to the world as ‘The Energy of Asia’. Collection of pieces forming a circle represented the silhouette of Gelora Bung Karno Stadium from top view. The 3 curves in 3 colors surrounding the man’s silhouette represented diversified nations of Asia.
  • Mascot: is MOMO (motivation and mobility). It is a graphic visualization of Bondol Eagle (Haliastur Indus).
  • Motto:The Inspiring Spirit and Energy of Asia
  • 302 members participated from India. Rio Paralympic gold medallist Mariyappan Thangavelu was the flag-bearer of the Indian contingent.
  • China topped the medal tally with 319 medals including 172 gold medals. Second place was occupied by Korea with 144 medals and third position by Iran with 136 medals.
  • India occupied 9th Place by winning a total of 72 medals with: 15 gold, 24 silver and 33 bronze medals.
  • India won 72 medals,the highest number of medals in the Asian Para Games ever,In 2014 India won 33 Medals and in 2010 India won 14 Medals.
