UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Ltd Signed MoU with NHA to Provide Print Services of E-Cards for AB-PMJAY Beneficiaries

UTIITSL ties up with NHA to provide print servicesUTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited (UTIITSL) has signed Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the National Health Authority (NHA) to provide printing services(through its branches and PSAs), support the beneficiary identification(i.e., fill up online validation process) and verification process in issuing  e-cards to beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).

Key People:

The MoU was signed by Vipul Aggarwal, Deputy Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of NHA and Vijay Kumar Jain, Managing Director & CEO of UTIITSL.

Points to be Noted:

i.The Service offers an health cover of Rs 5 lakh to 53 crore per annum to poor eligible citizens to avail cashless secondary and tertiary healthcare anywhere in the country in its empanelled healthcare providers- Both Public & Private(23,000).

ii.This will help the migrant workers. Till Now, 12.55 crore e-cards have been issued.

iii.To avail a PMJAY e-card, the beneficiaries need to obtain their  individual and family verified UTIITSLs Centres or PSAs with the help of a document such as Aadhaar card.

iv.The registered beneficiary can avail the benefits under the AB-PMJAY scheme

Key Info

i.AB-PMJAY aims to  target over 10.74 crore poor, deprived rural families and occupational category of urban workers” families identified as per the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 database.

ii.In less than 2 years 1.2 crore cashless treatments worth Rs 15,000 crore have been provided by NHA

i.The association is to achieve the objectives of UTIITSL to implement AB-PMJAY .

ii.The partnership, will enable NHA to reach a greater number of deserving families and enable them access to affordable quality healthcare through PMJAY.
