About Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM):

i.It will help connect digital health solutions  of hospitals across the country. All Indians will get a digital health ID under this scheme. Every citizen’s health record will now be digitally secure.

ii.The data can be viewed with the help of a mobile application, a Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) and Healthcare Facilities Registries (HFR) that will act as a repository of all healthcare providers across both modern and traditional systems of medicine.

iii.The health ID will be used as a health account. ABDM will provide reliable data, leading to better treatment and savings for patients too.

iv.It is based on the principle of bringing from ration to administration (Ration to Prashasan) to the citizens in a fast and transparent manner.

Digital Health Infrastructure of India

ABDM will be developed by adopting India Enterprise Architecture Framework (IndEA) – The design of the building blocks of ABDM will adapt and conform to IndEA by default. All the design and development efforts will adopt the Agile IndEA Framework notified by MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology).
