NABARD Sanctioned Rs 2891.15 lakh to Goa under RIDF Scheme

scheme to Government of GoaOn July 06, 2021, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned a loan worth Rs 2891.15 lakh under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) to the Government of Goa for the Construction of Phase II Building of Goa Dental College and Hospital in Bambolim, Goa.

  • The construction of the sanctioned social infrastructure will be the State of the Art ‘Dental Hospital’ for dental treatment and for overall improvement in the health standards of the people in the state.
  • In October 2021, NABARD had sanctioned loans worth Rs 8504.30 lakh under RIDF to the Government of Goa for various Social Infrastructure Projects in the State.
  • About RIDF: It was set up by the Government of India in 1995-96 for providing low-cost finance support to State Governments and State-owned Corporations for developing critical infrastructure in the agriculture & allied sector, the social sector and rural connectivity. It is maintained by NABARD.
