Lewis Hamilton wins Portuguese Grand Prix for record 92nd F1 victory

On 25th October, 2020, British Driver Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) won the 2020 Portugese Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula 1 Heineken Grande Prémio de Portugal 2020) held at Algarve International circuit, Portugal. With this win, Lewis Hamilton became the most successful driver of Formula One with 92 wins. The Championships are organized by Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

i.Finland driver Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) finished second, while Netherland’s Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) finished third in the race.

ii.Hamilton has moved one ahead of Schumacher’s all time record of 91 wins.

iii.This was the First Grand Prix at the Algarve circuit in 24 years.

Lewis Hamilton:

i.Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton is a British Driver, who has won the F1 Championship 6 times (2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019), which is the second-most championships of all-time.

ii.He is one championship short of Schumacher’s all time record of 7 championships.

iii.Hamilton equalled Schumacher’s record of 91 wins with a victory at Eifel Grand Prix 2020 on October 12, 2020.
