JKTPO Signed MoU with TPCI for Agro & food Processing Sector and Film Tourism Sector

JKTPO, TPCI Sign MoU For Agro & Food Processing, Film Tourism SectorsOn 20th March 2021, the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trade Promotion Corporation of India (TPCI) for the Agro & Food Processing Sector and Film Tourism Sector.

  • The MoU was signed by Ankita Kar, Managing Director(MD) of JKTPO and Mohit Singla, Chairman of TPCI.
  • The MoU was signed during the inauguration of J&K Pavilion at South Asia’s largest Integrated FB Trade Show – “Indus-food 2021” held at Indian Exposition Mart, New Delhi.

Features of MoU:

Under this MoU both JKTPO and TPCI will work together to enhance the reach of the International Community in India.

Key Points:

i.JKTPO is in talks with the delegates of 6 countries(Russia, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Turkey and Belarus) for exploring various avenues to attract global investments.

ii.The Jammu and Kashmir delegation was led by Ankita Kar MD of JKTPODepartment of Industries & Commerce, Government of J&K.

On 13th January, 2021, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the North East Cane and Bamboo Development Council (NECBDC) to promote Bamboo Cultivation and related entrepreneurship in the region.
