According to JLL’s (Jones Lang LaSalle)’s Human Performance Indicator (HPI) Index, India ranked highest in workplace satisfaction at 98 percent followed by China at 97 percent.

  • As per the report, India leads other Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries with 81 per cent of high performers practising flexible working, including flexible hours and work-from-home.

Factors:

The Key Factors impacting workplace satisfaction in high performers are wider range of sophisticated workplaces and technologies.

High Performers & Low Performers:

The one, who has good environment to work like wide range of sophisticated spaces, technology tools and work practices are termed as High Performers.

The one, who felt that they did not have access to a work environment with collaborative spaces, sophisticated technology or an inclusive culture are termed as Low performers.

High Performers Based on Sector & Region:

i.Majority of high performers are Technology workers (53 percent) and young professionals aged 25 to 34 (37 percent).

ii.Only one-third of workplaces in Asia Pacific Region have an environment that elevates employee performance.

Key Points:

i.Seven in 10 High Performers practice flexible work, including flexible hours and work-from-home, in comparison to only 34% of Low Performers.

ii.95% of High Performers said they were tech ready to work remotely.

iii.98% of High Performers agreed that their leadership enabled them to achieve their full potential professionally.

iv.7 in 10 (70%) of High Performers have found a confidential space to have a difficult conversation and 61% have a mentor at work.

v.96% of High Performers highlighted that they have access to spaces that promote informal interactions among colleagues such as outdoor terraces, game rooms, and on-site coffee shops and baristas.

  • The Human Performance Indicator (HPI) is a new formula that gives a comprehensive view of how different aspects of the workplace such as spaces, technology and culture combine to elevate human performance.
  • 1500 employees in five countries(Australia, China, India, Japan, and Singapore) across the region were analysed for this study.
