1. Foe – enemy, शत्रू

Meaning – an enemy or opponent.

Synonyms – enemy, adversary, opponent, rival, nemesis, antagonist, combatant, challenger, competitor.

Usage – “his work was praised by friends and foes alike”

2. Venomous – deadly,  घातक

Meaning – (of an animal, especially a snake) secreting venom; capable of injecting venom by means of a bite or sting.

Synonyms – poisonous, toxic, noxious, dangerous, harmful; deadly, lethal, death-dealing, life-threatening, fatal, mortal, terminal.

Usage – “a leading expert on venomous snakes”

3. Gallant – brave, साहसिक

Meaning – (of a person or their behaviour) brave; heroic.

Synonyms – brave, courageous, valiant, valorous, bold, plucky, daring, fearless, intrepid, heroic, lionhearted, stout-hearted, doughty, mettlesome.

Usage – “she had made gallant efforts to pull herself together”

4. Ravenous – Hungry, भूखे

Meaning – extremely hungry.

Synonyms – very hungry, starving, starved, famished.

5. Consequential – important, महत्वपूर्ण

Meaning – following as a result or effect.

Synonyms – resulting, resultant, ensuing, consequent; following, subsequent, successive, sequential; attendant, accompanying, concomitant; collateral.

Usage – “the fire can be rapidly controlled and the consequential water and smoke damage reduced”

6. Obnoxious – offensive, घृणित

Meaning – extremely unpleasant.

Usage – “obnoxious odours”

7. Pungent – sharp, तीक्ष्ण

Meaning – having a sharply strong taste or smell.

Synonyms – strong, powerful, pervasive, penetrating, suffocating, stifling; sharp, acrid, acid, sour, biting, stinging, burning, smarting, irritating; nauseating, nauseous.

Usage – “the pungent smell of the horses”

8. Lugubrious – sorrowful, विषादमय

Meaning – looking or sounding sad and dismal.

Synonyms – mournful, gloomy, sad, unhappy, doleful, Eeyorish, glum, melancholy, melancholic, woeful, miserable, woebegone, forlorn, despondent, dejected, depressed.

Usage – “his face looked even more lugubrious than usual”

9. Incisive – sharp, तीक्ष्ण

Meaning – (of a person or mental process) intelligently analytical and clear-thinking.

Synonyms – penetrating, acute, sharp, sharp-witted, razor-sharp, keen, rapier-like, astute, shrewd, trenchant, piercing, perceptive, insightful, percipient, perspicacious.

Usage – “she was an incisive critic”

10. Aesthetic – beautiful, सौन्दर्यपरक

Meaning – concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty.

Usage – “the pictures give great aesthetic pleasure”
