1. Tirade – निंदा

Meaning – a long, angry speech of criticism or accusation.

Synonyms – diatribe, invective, polemic, denunciation, rant, broadside, attack, harangue, verbal onslaught; reviling, railing, decrying, condemnation, brickbats, flak, criticism, censure, lecture, berating, admonishment, admonition, reprimand, rebuke, reproof, reproval, upbraiding, abuse.

Usage – she rounded on Nathan with a devastating tirade.

2. Salvage – उबार

Meaning – rescue (a wrecked or disabled ship or its cargo) from loss at sea.

Synonyms – rescue, save, recover, retrieve, raise, reclaim, get back, restore, reinstate.

Usage – an emerald and gold cross was salvaged from the wreck.

3. Scourge – चाबुक से पीटना

Meaning – a whip used as an instrument of punishment.

Synonyms – whip, horsewhip, lash, strap, birch, switch, flail; bullwhip, rawhide; historicalcat-o’-nine-tails, knout; rareflagellum, quirt.

Usage – he was beaten with a scourge.

4. Puerile – बचकाना

Meaning – childishly silly and immature.

Usage – a puerile argument.

5. Promulgate – घोषणा करना

Meaning – promote or make widely known (an idea or cause).

Synonyms – make known, make public, publicize, spread, communicate, propagate, disseminate, circulate, broadcast, promote, announce, proclaim.

Usage – ideas which Ruskin had been the first to promulgate.

6. Prone – प्रवृत्त

Meaning – likely or liable to suffer from, do, or experience something unpleasant or regrettable.

Synonyms – susceptible, vulnerable, liable, inclined, given, subject, disposed, predisposed, open; likely to have/get, apt to get, with a tendency to get, at risk of, in danger of getting.

Usage – tired, malnourished people are prone to infection.

7. Longevity – लंबी उम्र

Meaning – long life.

Usage – the greater longevity of women compared with men.

8. Inundated – बाढ़

Meaning – overwhelm (someone) with things or people to be dealt with.

Synonyms – overwhelm, overpower, overburden, overrun, overload, swamp, bog down, besiege, snow under, bury, bombard, glut.

Usage – we’ve been inundated with complaints from listeners.

9. Jargon – शब्दजाल

Meaning – special words or expressions used by a profession or group that are difficult for others to understand.

Synonyms – specialized language, technical language, slang, cant, idiom, argot, patter, patois, vernacular; computerese, legalese, bureaucratese, journalese, psychobabble; unintelligible language, obscure language, gobbledegook, gibberish, double Dutch; informallingo, -speak, -ese, mumbo jumbo, geekspeak.

Usage – the instructions are written in electrician’s jargon.

10. Imbibe – पी लेना

Meaning – drink (alcohol).

Synonyms – drink, consume, sup, sip, quaff, swallow, down, guzzle, gulp (down), swill, lap, slurp; informalswig, knock back, sink; informalneck; informalchug.

Usage – they were imbibing far too many pitchers of beer
