BSE inks Joint Venture with Frontier Agriculture Platforms Private LimitedOn March 5, 2021, a Joint Venture (JV) agreement was inked between BSE Investments Limited (BSEIL) and Frontier Agriculture Platforms Private Limited (FAPL) under which the latter bought 40% stake in BSE E-Agricultural Markets Limited (BEAM).

  • The reason behind this JV is to boost innovation in agriculture markets.
  • It is also on the lines of BSE Group’s commitment to broaden access to agricultural markets for investors and companies to create a ‘single market’ for agriculture commodities.

Objective:

To explore scope and opportunities available in the agricultural commodities trading market.

Key Points:

i.FAPL will support BEAM by connecting it with stakeholders and by providing domain knowledge.

ii.On the other hand, BEAM’s technology platform connects farmers with the businesses and individuals involved in agri-business.

iii.BSE is committed to broaden access to agricultural markets for investors and companies on the lines of the Central Government’s vision of a “single market” for agriculture commodities.
