A global wave of terror across 3 continents in one day

Terrorists struck four different places across three continents in a matter of hours. These strikes show the growing capabilities of terrorists and vulnerability of civilians across the world.

France:

A man stormed an American-owned chemical plant, decapitated one person and apparently tried to blow up the facility

Tunisia:

A gunman drew an assault rifle from a beach umbrella and killed at least 38 people at a seaside resort

Kuwait:

A suicide bomber blew himself up inside a mosque during communal prayers, killing at least 25 Shiite worshipers.

Syria:

The Islamic State executed around more than 120 civilians in Kobane, Syria

For attacks in Tunis and Kuwait, ISIS has claimed responsibility. While the motive of attack in France is not known, it seems to have been inspired from ISIS.

These attacks rises important questions over the futility of US’s war on terror and the world community’s  lukewarm response to the ISIL.  And how, social media has become a potent tool for terrorists expounding their propaganda and coordinating their attacks.

The Tunisian attack seems to have done to damage its tourism industry and halt its successful transformation in to a democracy after the Arab spring. The Kuwait attack on the Shia mosque seems to have been done to fuel a sectarian conflict between the Sunnis and Shias.
